Before I go into sharing a quick recap of my weight loss journey, I wanted to say you can do anything you set your mind to. I look at my side-by-side pictures and see how far I’ve come. It amazes me to this day that I did that. All I can tell you is that I poured every ounce of courage and discipline I had in me to be where I am today. This journey has taught me so many positive things about life. It’s not always easy, but it’s so fu**** worth it!

“Change your body, Change your life.”

Hereee weeee goooooo……

When puberty hit, so did the extra fluff. Yay, Hormones! I never really paid attention to the fluff. It’s almost as if I didn’t want to comfort it but believe me; I would still try to do better. I’ve been active my whole life. I played sports growing up and did CrossFit in my early 20s. I had a passion for powerlifting. My lowest point was when I was 26 and moved back to Georgia after living in Costa Rica for 11 years. Moving here, I started gaining about 25 lbs from my initial weight, leaving me at 200 lbs.
I remember looking at the scale in December 2019; I freaked out.
I’ve always felt like a prisoner in my own body. Like I wasn’t supposed to look this way, I knew I could do better for myself. That moment was when my life changed forever.
2020 was a crazy year for all of us. Lucky for me, I had the opportunity to embrace it. I remember that all the gyms were closed just when I decided I didn’t want to be fat anymore..-_-… great… but remember, there is no such thing as setbacks, only comebacks. I started hiking up Stone Mountain, Georgia, almost daily in January 2020. The first few times, it’d take me 45mims, but I’d get better every time. My best record was 19mins. It was around May and 15 lbs later, leaving me weighing 185 lbs. I needed more. I remember following this trainer in Atlanta for a few months, even before 2020.
I was so amazed at his work. How women that were in my position were just fu**** killing it!!! I was like, I want that to be meeeee. Let him be my witness, but I was in his DMS every week starting July 2020. I was going to get a slot no matter what. The sad part was he didn’t have any availability till October…. I was like. OCTOBER and that was highly unmotivating. I figured if I annoyed him enough, maybe I’d get a spot, so I did that, and it worked! I started on August 7th, 2020, and after three months of extreme focus and CONSISTENCY, we were 30 lbs down, hitting 155. That moment was really where my new life journey began.

Have you ever felt like you HAVE to do something? You feel it in your soul, it runs through your veins, and you know you must follow through. I wanted to be that version of myself that I had always envisioned. I knew that if I committed to this, my life would change. It’s still, to this day, one of my most meaningful accomplishments.
Right after that, life did change in the most remarkable ways. For once, I knew what it truly meant to be comfortable in my skin. I found myself. I found my purpose. Three years later, and I still show up for me! At 145 lb going from 33% body fat to 19% has been CRRAAZYYY! Having the opportunity to change someone’s life the way I changed mine is my purpose, and I’ve never been more ready to walk right into it. Take a look at my Su Fitness packs under the SUSYSAYS section. If you’re ready to change, I’m ready to help!
